HISTORIC BUILDING CONDITION SURVEYS

QUINQUENNIAL INSPECTIONS

Dr Alex Veal RIBA AABC is a Quinquennial Inspector in the Diocese of London.

In this role, he works closely with Parishes to prepare a detailed and practical inspection report every five years. Reports are prepared in accordance with the Diocese’s requirements and set out in a way that enables Parishes to approach any necessary repair and maintenance works in a pragmatic and considered way.  Following completion of the report, Alex will meet with representatives of the church to discuss its contents and to advise on works that may be required.

ARTARCHITECTS is also able to assist churches with a broad range of conservation, repair and redevelopment works at any stage. These may have been identified through the Quinquennial Inspection, or developed with the aim of supporting the church’s broader mission. We would always be pleased to discuss any such projects, from initial advice and feasibility studies, through to applying for Planning permission and/or a Faculty, detailed technical design, and contruction contract administration.
